AML Ltd (AML)
AMRC MANUFACTURING LIMITED was founded by Dr Gareth Morgan in 2008, with a stake being purchased by Chapmans - who are also based in Sheffield - in October 2012. AML is a spin-out arm of the Department of AMRC in the University of Sheffield, commercialising innovative technologies and systems developed within the AMRC group. It manufactures aerospace parts and is a supplier for RR, BAe and Siemens with 15 years’ experience machining titanium alloys and extensive experience in aerospace and aerofoil geometries.
Strategic relationships with key industry leaders have allowed AML to build a world class production environment. It is proven that AML can cut hard metals to world class standards and is a natural supply chain partner to the most demanding industries.
The centre is rapidly expanding and continues to maintain its development capability. Additionally, through its links with the AMRC, AML is able to apply new technology and reduce costs for their customers. AML holds and conforms to the leading industry standards AS9100 Rev C and ISO 9001:2008
