MBN Nanomaterialia (MBN)
MBN Nanomaterialia S.p.A. (Italy) was established in 1994 with core business being focused on the development of mechanochemical reactors for the production of nanostructured materials produced by high energy ball milling. With a powder production capacity in the range of hundreds ton/year, MBN is offering to the market advanced powder materials for powder metallurgy, spraying and laser deposition processes. The industrial production is based on environmental friendly alloys for diamond grinding tools, high performance thermal spraying powders and biomedical grade Ti materials.
MBN is currently developing advanced alloys for high temperature resistance applications for additive manufacturing and fast sintering techniques. All the materials produced by MBN represent the direct outcome of scientific and technological research initiatives performed at National and European level in collaboration with Universities, Research Institutes and Industries.
In the MMTech project, MBN is leading the development of gamma-TiAl powder alloys for rapid manufacturing which include the set-up of an effective production route for the robust manufacture of reliable TIAl materials.
